Hey! I’m Allison,

Child of god, wife, mother, writer, & birth lover.

I’m passionate about pregnancy and childbirth education and helping pregnant mamas feel confident that they can have a birth experience that’s not only safe but also happy, sacred, and calm.

Are you confused by all the pregnancy and childbirth information out there? Are you searching for answers backed by truth and research? Do you wish you could trust that what you’re being taught is really in your best interest and considers all the factors?

Above all that, are you wondering if you can give birth unmedicated, maybe even at home? Are you hoping that it really is possible to have a birth experience you love?

If you said yes to any of these, you’re in the right place.

When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I wanted to know all the things – I love learning and wanted to be as prepared as possible. I searched google and YouTube and found some information but ended up confused and still wondering what to believe.

I had hoped my prenatal appointments would be enjoyable and educational, but my visits with the OBGYNs always felt rushed. I wanted someone to sit down and teach me and be excited with me but I just didn’t get that there. I often walked away feeling like I should have asked more questions but I honestly didn’t know what to ask!

Finally, I made the leap of faith and hired an amazing midwife. She taught me more than I ever thought I could learn about pregnancy and labor and birth. The more I learned, the more I changed. A year before, I never would have considered giving birth unmedicated, let alone anywhere but the hospital. But now the choice seemed crystal clear

I gave birth to my first baby at home, unmedicated, and it was incredible.

And it wasn’t just that; by the time contractions started, I felt prepared and excited and totally ready to take this birth thing on.

And I know you can get to that point too.

My whole goal with Give Birth Give Life is to educate women – not just to put information out there but to tell you what that information means and why it matters for you.

The information is available for anyone to find but it’s so hard to sift through it and get to the good stuff, especially with so many other things demanding your time and energy!

That’s where I step in. I’ve spent countless hours reading and listening and learning. I’ve dug deep and asked why until I’ve found the real answers, the answers no one is talking about. Give Birth Give Life is the result — your comprehensive source for all things pregnancy, labor, birth, and beyond, from the perspective of a real person just like you.

Why do I do it?

Because the way we give birth matters! It has implications that last a lifetime. Birth isn’t supposed to be traumatic; it’s supposed to be beautiful.

I loved my birth experience. Are you ready to love yours?

A few more things about me…

I’m married to the man of my dreams, Nate. We got married in February of 2021.

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. He means everything to me.

I’ve played the piano since I was little and I love it. It’s a hobby, a stress-reliever, and a way to serve.

I love crocheting, especially when I’m watching movies or listening to a book.

I like to read. A lot of my “reading” is actually listening these days, but I can listen to books for hours on end.

I love to be outside in the sunshine. I go on walks with my family almost every day (unless it’s freezing outside).

Something for you…
